The Mission:
Provide a VIP experience for eligible Webelos and their parents to encourage them to join the adventure of Boy Scouting.
Scoutmasters: Want to Grow Your Troop?
Join us in the special Operation: Crossover tent and encourage 5th-grade Webelos Scouts and their parents to cross over into your troop!
What’s Provided:
- Table inside Operation: Crossover tent.
- Opportunity to show off your troop!
- Each Webelos Scout who commits to join your troop will receive (for free!):
- Special commemorative patch (design above)
- Scout Handbook
- Snacks and beverages.
- Webelos may participate in the program activities at the Philadelphia Encampment in the afternoon (until 4:00 PM)
What the Troop Provides:
- At least one adult leader to set-up your troop’s table and engage Webelos Scouts and their parents.
- Preferably your senior patrol leader or other senior youth leader (like a den chief) to help staff your table.
- Interactive display and/or activity.
- Troop information sheet (meeting and contact details, schedule of events, etc.).
- ENTHUSIASM!
Eligible Webelos attending the Philadelphia Encampment are encouraged to participate.
Invites will also be sent to eligible Webelos throughout Philadelphia who have not yet transitioned to a Boy Scout troop.
Accept the Mission?
Just show up any time between 12-12:45 PM to set-up. If you’re already at the Encampment, please make sure to participate!
